In 2008, Umesh Prasad founded Star Dynamic Service as a proprietorship firm in Dankuni, West Bengal — starting with a few trucks and a reputation for keeping his word. Over the years, he built a name trusted by manufacturers and distributors across eastern India.
In 2023, his son Upkar Kumar — a postgraduate in Sociology and former UPSC aspirant — joined the family trade and brought a modern operations mindset to a legacy of trust. In July 2025 he founded a new company, Star Dynamic Logistics India Pvt Ltd, with its own fleet, its own customer contracts and its own technology team — and set it to work building the software the industry had never written for itself. Today, Star Dynamic is a family legacy powered by a next-generation approach.

Star Dynamic runs on two registered companies — one that owns trucks, one that places them. Between them we place 200+ vehicles every month. The split isn't complexity for its own sake: it's how every consignor gets the billing treatment their books actually need, instead of the one that happens to suit us.
Holds and runs our owned trucks, and places market vehicles alongside them. This is the entity that carries the capital — the vehicles, the customer contracts, and the in-house technology team.
Our brokering arm for market vehicles — and it can place our owned trucks just as well. It moves freight and coordinates partners, but by design it holds no vehicles on its own books.
Under the GST rules for goods transport, a company elects one billing treatment and applies it to every invoice it raises. It cannot charge forward-charge GST to one consignor and reverse-charge to the next. But our customers genuinely differ — a GST-registered manufacturer wants an invoice it can claim input credit against, while other consignors would rather freight never carried forward-charge GST at all.
One company would have forced half of them into a treatment that costs them money. Two properly constituted companies mean nobody has to compromise.
